We are seeking a new Retail Sales Assistant for our Battery Point store - someone who is passionate about interiors and design, and loves spending time with people. If you are a professional, outgoing and engaging individual who thrives in a lively retail sales environment we want to hear from you!
Start date: June / July
Position: Casual Retail Sales Assistant, 10-20 hours per week
Responsibilities include:
- a focus on customer service and sales
- building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- processing transactions via Lightspeed Point of Sale system
- maintaining store presentation to a high standard
- developing a thorough product knowledge
- day-to-day shop merchandising
- processing of incoming stock
- online store assistance
- gift wrapping
- light cleaning duties
Required skills:
- previous retail customer service and/or sales experience
- confident with Apple OS
- confident with using web based applications
Required attributes:
- availability to be scheduled to work Saturdays on a rotating roster
- have a genuine passion for interiors and Australian design
- value organisation and precision
- be able to multitask and problem solve well
- thrive in a retail environment and love building customer relationships
- have strong verbal and written communication skills
- be calm and professional under pressure, assertive when necessary
- be energetic, fast working and self-motivated
- be a team player, helpful and adaptable
